i stumbled upon this awesome idea online and knew we had to make it
happen for our father’s upcoming 60th birthday
it involved contacting friends and family (from the past and present) and asking
them to write a memory or two of our father. the goal was to get 60, stuff them into these
cool old-school envelopes, and present them to him on his birthday.
so, after an e-mail or two, we had letters flooding in from all over the country…
and even from across the pond!
we laughed… cried… and then laughed again until our stomachs hurt.
thank you to everyone who helped in this project! it made for a very memorable present;
one that truly couldn’t be replaced by any other gift in the world.
enjoy the photos from the day.
a surprised dad walking into his favorite pizza joint, spinato’s
and here come the best photos.
i told you, there was a lot of laughter and joy that evening… and the next day… and the next
as we continued to read through all of the memories.
thanks again- you are all loved
